It is fascinating to learn that the debris stream of this comet could be the source of the Taurid meteor stream. There is even evidence that a bigger chunk of the comet lurks in this Earth crossing debris field.

The entire book is littered with footnotes and source references. Hancock did a lot of research and it shows. Like all human theories, I am sure some parts of it will be dis-proven while other parts shown to be entirely correct. As researchers continue to investigate underwater ruins and the mysterious underwater past of Indonesia becomes unraveled, we may indeed find evidence which requires a total renewal of our understanding of human history.

With the right geoploymer mixture, one can remake the beautiful Egyptian vases and busts made of diorite and quartzite. First, import the model of an artifact into a computer using common engineering software such as CAD. Then produce a mold and fill with the desired geopolymer. A company could market these items for a decent price and they would be available for everyone to enjoy. For a little more money, you could add inlaid eyes of lapis lazuli; for the more wealthy, even include pure gold.

Desalinization of water through ion exchange; geopolymer development for moon base and other extraterrestrial structures; repairing ancient monuments; fire resistant building materials; concrete ships; durable highway and bridge construction; Margaret Morris suggests radioactive disposal; and more…

I would suggest that we rebuild the three pyramids at Giza to their original appearance with the geopolymer techniques. However, I fear that the Egyptian authorities will not allow it. If that is the case then I propose building the three pyramids in Las Vegas. It would be both an architectural and engineering wonder and a beautiful monument dedicated to the people who helped develop civilization.

If you enjoyed Joseph Davidovits’ book, Why the Pharaohs Built the Pyramids with Fake Stones, then you will definitely find Margaret Morris’ book, The Great Pyramid Secret to be equally thrilling. In my opinion, it goes into more detail and depth than Davidovits’ book. Both are worth a read.

It’s becoming increasingly clear that their ideas explain the key to the success of the Egyptians in building objects from diorite, hard limestone, quartizite, etc… The simple, but elegant solution of Geopolymers.

I think Jean-Pierre Houdin’s theory about the spiral ramp would be perfect, except change his theory from carved rocks to agglomerated stones.

In Underworld: The Mysterious Origins of Civilization, Hancock raises an excellent point — sea levels in ancient times were mush lower than they are now. Thus, many ruins may lie under the water a theme which he fully explores in this novel. The novel is a bit lengthy.

Graham Hancock does not disappoint in Heaven’s Mirror, a book about lost civilizations.  Containing hundred of beautiful images and graphs, the reader will be convinced that perhaps there do exist civilizations that have vanished from the history books. In addition, Hancock does a great job in this book, and in his other books, at describing the astronomical phenomena of precession. Here is brief video of Hancock talking about the book.

There exists a theory, called the Orion Correlation Theory, which claims that the Egyptians built the pyramids to mimic the asterism of Orion’s Belt. Thus, the Nile River would correspond to the Milky Way. This theory was first publish in a book, The Orion Mystery: Unlocking the Secrets of the Pyramids, by Robert Bauval and Adrian Gilbert. This work provides a new perspective on the importance of astronomy to the ancient Egyptians. Anyone who loves ancient mysteries should give this book a read.

There are some interesting theories about Egyptians and Cymatics. Check this link for more information. Perhaps the Egyptians knew about the formation of such patterns (as can be seen in this video) and thought them “holy.”
